John Ramon Diego Obituary

John Ramon Diego, beloved husband of Patricia Ann Mazuzan,

passed away on February 14, 2025.

Born in Natick, Massachusetts, to Glenita (Rice) and John R. Diego,

John was educated at Northfield High School and Norwich University.

He was a devoted father to his four children—Daphne, John,

Christopher, and Peter Diego—and a proud grandfather to Nathan

Barcomb, Kate Landrau, Andrew, Emily, Christopher, Nicholas,

Tucker, and Max Diego. His legacy continues through his great-

grandchildren: Stephen and Kyan Barcomb, Xavier Landrau, Nora

Morrill, and Bryn Diego. He is also survived by his sister, Denise Diehl,

along with many nieces and nephews.

John enjoyed a distinguished career, making contributions at

Fairbanks Morse Company in St. Johnsbury, VT, and at IBM in Essex

Junction, VT. His commitment extended to his military service, where

he served with honor in the U.S. Army Reserves, retiring as a Colonel.

Predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Ricardo and Ramon.

John found joy in exploring Europe with his wife throughout their 70

years of marriage. His lifelong passions included fly fishing and

grouse hunting, often shared with his cherished German Shorthaired

Pointers, Hanni and Ilse.

John will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
