Patricia “Patsy” Ann Beatty Pate, 78, of Rockingham, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at Richmond County Hospice Haven.

She was born April 4, 1946, in Deale, Maryland, daughter of the late Charles Russell Beatty and Estelle Haas Beatty.

Patsy enjoyed many things throughout her life including gardening, cooking, and shopping at thrift stores. She thoroughly loved watching and feeding birds, and had many bird feeders around her yard. She and her late husband, Chuck, enjoyed living around the water, especially in Chesapeake Bay, Maryland, and in Arkansas. Patsy’s greatest love was her family and being the mother to her sons, Bo and Michael. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. “Chuck” Pate; son, Gordon “Bo” Manship; and sisters, Iris Rogers, Eunice Swinburn, and Grace Owen.

Left to cherish Patsy’s memories are her son, Michael Manship (Melissa) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Corbin Manship, Cody Manship, and Raylee Waltman (Stephen); great-grandson, Simon; several nieces and nephews; step-children, Charlie Pate, Tricia Pate, and Lisa Lee (Robert); and step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 18, 2024 from 5:00-6:00pm at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet.

The memorial service will begin immediately following visitation, at 6:00pm, in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Dixon officiating.
