Jesse Rodriguez, age 77, of Carson City, gained his angel wings on February 14, 2025. He married the love of his life, Sharon Carter, on April 4, 1970; together they raised 8 children: Jesse, Joe, Loretta, Sam, Jerry, Timothy, Matthew, and Selena. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle.

Jesse was proud to work for Montcalm Juvenile Transportation. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed going to the movies and out to dinner. He loved to listen to old music with one of his favorites, Johnny Horton. More than anything, Jesse cherished time spent with his family making memories. He loved each and every one of his grandchildren and was always their biggest cheerleader at their sporting events. Jesse was always the first person to help anyone in need, whether it be family or someone on the side of the road. A man with a contagious sense of humor, there was never a moment when he wasn’t joking. Jesse’s goal was to make everyone laugh and smile: his family, the nurse at the doctor’s office, even the gas station attendant. It never mattered who it was, he always set out to make someone’s day. Jesse was a strong man of faith and believed that all things are possible through Christ.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Sharon Rodriguez; children Jesse (Rebecca) Rodriguez, Loretta (Charlie) Rodriguez, Jerry (Tiffany) Rodriguez, Timothy (Nikki) Rodriguez, Matthew Rodriguez, and Selena (Alex) Rodriguez; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is also survived by his sisters Fran Rodriguez, Betty Bandt, and Linda Rodriguez.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents; sons Joe Rodriguez and Sam Rodriguez; brother Alfredo Rodriguez; and sisters Vickie Hawkins, Gloria Rodriguez, and Joyce Rodriguez.

Visitation for Jesse will take place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 4-8pm at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City. Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 12pm at First Baptist Church of Carson City Fellowship Center (10204 E Carson City Rd), with Pastor Mike McAlvey officiating. Following services, Jesse will be laid to rest in Bloomer Township Cemetery.
