Brian T. Spiering of Lewes, DE, formerly of Greensboro, MD, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the BeeBee Hospital in Lewes, DE from health complications. He was 67 years old.

     Born in Dover, DE on March 7,1957, Mr. Spiering was the son of the late Glen Lee Spiering, Sr. and Elizabeth Kathleen Kriss Spiering. He graduated from North Caroline High School in 1975 and received his master’s degree in education from Salisbury State College in 1988. Mr. Spiering was a teacher and had taught students at the Benedictine School in Ridgely from 1982 until 1987. He then worked for the Caroline County Board of Education teaching at Col. Richardson High School in Federalsburg, MD; becoming Assistant Principal at Denton Elementary School; becoming Principal at the Caroline County Technical Center, Principal at Colonel Richardson High School and later Principal at North Caroline High School in Ridgely, MD, retiring in 2015. After retirement, he moved to Lewes, DE where he participated in many community activities.

     Mr. Spiering is survived by his wife of 41 years, Susan “Susie” Spiering of Lewes; a daughter, Emily Baron (Blake) of Towson, MD; a son, Jacob Spiering (Sarah Kristy) of Cape Cod, MA; three grandchildren: Blair Baron, Leo Baron, and Caris Baron; two brothers, Robert Spiering (Judy) of Goldsboro, MD and Mark Spiering and his daughter, Abby, of Greensboro; and a sister, Kathleen Wilson (Jim) of Queenstown, Md. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Glen Spiering, Jr.

     A Celebration of Brian’s life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, March 8th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may visit with the family from 12 until 1 before the service.
