Katherine passed away peacefully during the early morning hours Thursday, February 14, 2025 at 4 AM. She is predeceased by her husband John Ganiaris who passed November 26, 2013, may he rest in peace.

Together they had three sons, George, Nicholas and Matthew. They lost their beloved son George on May 15th 2008; may his memory be eternal.

She is survived by her children, Nicholas Ganiaris and wife Maria. Her son ‘s widow Irene Ganiaris. Her son Matthew, as well as her brother Thomas Milonas, and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Katherine was the cherished grandmother of four grown grandchildren, Katerina and Yiannis, Katherine and John Frank. Great grandmother to six beautiful boys and girls. Aristolelis, Alexander, Yianni, and Delilah, Bella and Allyson.

Katherine was very active in the Metropolitan benevolent society of Kallimosis - St. Emilianos in New York under the Chian Federation in Astoria, Queens. She was also an active member of women’s auxiliary of the Chian Federation. Katherine had an unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She is going to be dearly missed.
