Mr. Richard Edward “Richie” Chesnut, age 54, of 614 Old Union Rd., Union, passed away, Friday, February 14, 2025, at his home. 

Mr. Chesnut was born on September 15, 1970, in Union, a son of the late Dickie Chesnut and Terri Mitchell Chesnut.  He was a graduate of Union High School and attended the University of South Carolina Upstate.  He was a welder by trade.  Richie loved his dogs, hunting, fishing, and flying kites.  He enjoyed being independent, even after his accident.

Surviving are his soulmate, Jennifer Wright of the home; a daughter, Heather Terwilliger of Alabama; two step-sons, Cam Kimbrell of Beaufort and Cade Kimbrell and wife Casey of Union; three grandchildren, Skylyn Kimbrell, Christian Kimbrell, and Caden Kimbrell; a sister, Melissa McNeace and husband Jamie of Buffalo; a brother, Michael “Mickey” Chesnut of Union; a special nephew, Kegan Roberts and wife Jill of Jonesville; a special niece, Courtney Esposito and husband Anthony of Union; and other nieces and nephews, Madison Chesnut, Macee Chesnut and Morgan Chesnut.  He was predeceased by a nephew, Cale Roberts.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Bill Randall.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the services at the funeral home.
