Jo Ann DeShon, 90, of Stanford, KY, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at her home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gordon. 

Jo Ann was born on October 28, 1934 in Garrard County, KY to the late Homer and Annie Walker Ray.

She was a faithful member of Lancaster Church of the Nazarene, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, treasurer, and board member for many years.

Surviving is a son, Alan Ray DeShon (Jennifer) of Stanford; grandchildren, Brett DeShon (Shelby) and Alyssa DeShon, both of Stanford; and two great grandchildren, Brooks and Baylor DeShon.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers; Harry and Edsel Ray, and a sister; Rose Moser.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Dwayne Lobb officiating.

Visitation will be 11:00 am until service time.

Burial will follow the funeral at Lancaster Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Billy King, Scott King, James Porter Wilmot, Justin Wilmot, Bruce Bailey, and Michael Bailey.

Honorary Pallbearers are Billy Moberly, Para Lee Bean, Linda Hall, Amie Brazee, Linda Moore, Karilon Simpson, and Glenda Westerfield.
