Trixie (Ralph) Hiscock Obituary

Trixie (Ralph) Hiscock

Aug. 07, 1928 – Jul. 11, 2018

It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Trixie Hiscock at Shoreham Village Nursing Home in Chester, Nova Scotia. Trixie is predeceased by her husband, Jonas, infant son, Ralph Winston, parents Llewellyn and Rachel Ralph, sister Mary (Dawson) Hiscock and son-in-law Gilbert Heffern. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Jeanette (Melvin), Robert (Marjorie), Judy (Keith); grandchildren Heather (Neil), Marie (Greg), Robert (Scott), Ryan (Angela), Jeanna (Christopher); great grandchildren Ben, Gracie, Aaliyah, Jay, and Owen; nephews David (Collinette), Wade (Sandra), and nieces Lydia (Ivan, deceased) and Valerie (Robin). Trixie was born on North Island in Bonavista Bay and lived on North Island and Flat Island until 1957 when resettlement of these islands brought the family to Burnside. She later lived in Eastport, Norris Point, and Halifax. Wherever she lived she made many friends and “bingo buddies” and enjoyed keeping in contact over a cup of tea or by phone. She will be missed by her many friends and extended family. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Oram’s Funeral Home, Eastport on Wednesday, July 18th at 2:00pm – 5:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm. Funeral service will be at St. Alban’s Church, Burnside on Thursday, July 19, at 2:00 pm. Internment will follow in St. Alban’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to St. Alban’s Church Cemetery Fund.
