Ricky William Walls, beloved father and grandfather passed away February 10, 2025, age 64 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Born January 7, 1961, in Versailles, Kentucky.

Ricky was a devoted husband to the late Joann Walls, with whom he shared 30 wonderful years of marriage. Among many things Ricky had a true passion for farming, which he did most of his life. He enjoyed fishing with his children, grandkids and close friends as well as going to the casino boat with is brother. Ricky also enjoyed going to the beach when he wasn’t farming. Ricky was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Ricky cherished his family, including his son, Greg (Kristin) Walls of Versailles, daughter, Amy Walls of Versailles, granddaughter Kaitlyn Agee of Versailles, grandsons, Michael and Nicholas Walls, better known to him as “Dew and Nick-Nick”, brothers, Glenn Walls and Jesse Walls both of Lexington, brother and sister-in-law Tony and Judy Bailey who helped care for him in his later years, Marcie Shepard who Ricky considered a daughter and a great niece, Abby Shepard with whom he shared a special handshake with. Ricky will also be lovingly remembered by a host of special nieces, nephews and cousins. Ricky was born to the late Jim and Kat Walls.

Funeral service will be 6:00pm, Thursday, February 13 at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home, Versailles, Kentucky. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00pm until the time of service. Burial will be 10:30am, Friday, February 14 at Midway Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Walls, Tony Bailey, Terry Agee, Kevin Shepard, Tony Hartgrove and Austin Creech. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dew, Nick-Nick, Stan Petrey and Kerrigan Morton. Contributions to the American Heart Association may be made in Ricky’s name.
