Wendell E. Breeze, 74, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 4:39 P.M. on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Good Samaritan Regional Heath Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Wendell was born on Tuesday, August 20, 1940 in Benton, Illinois the son of Oran and Elsie (Self) Breeze. He married Carla (Sutton) Bonner on December 21, 1997 in Bluford, Illinois and she survives. Surviving family members include his wife: Carla Breeze of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; son: Tony Breeze and wife Michelle of Indianapolis, Indiana; 2 daughters: Tammie Henry and husband Dannie of Bluford, Illinois, Rachel Cox and husband Eric of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; Stepson: Tom Bonner and wife Kendra of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 4 brothers: David Breeze and wife Rosemary of Bluford, Illinois, Allen Breeze and wife Ronnie of Austin, Texas, Kenny Breeze and wife Marilyn of Bluford, Illinois, and Floyd Breeze and wife Sharon of Bluford, Illinois; Sister: Sharon Satterwhite and husband Duane of Tennessee; 12 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. His parents preceded him in death. Wendell was an engineer with Canadian National Railroad until retiring and was a charter member of the Goshen Trail Black Powder Club and he enjoyed building black powder guns. He enjoyed taking his 1936 Ford Pickup truck to car shows. He enjoyed his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
