BURKHOLDER, NEIL S. Jr. of Orion; February 5, 2025; age 94; Loving husband of the late Betty Burkholder; Beloved father of Paula (John) Giordano, David Burkholder and Wendy Burkholder; Cherished grandfather of Lauren (Douglas), David (Lisa), Andrew (Ashley) and Neil; Dear brother of Mallory Burkholder, the late Robert (late Moreen) Burkholder, late Gary (Wanda) Burkholder and the late Judith (Neil) Simpson. Mr. Burkholder was an Eagle Scout, Scout Master and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion, Chief Pontiac Post #377 and worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed flying, Bingo and the outdoors. He loved banana splits and volunteered for many years as a poll worker. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday May 4, 2025 from 2-6 p.m. at the American Legion, Chief Pontiac Post #377, 4819 Mary Sue Avenue, Clarkston. Military Honors will take place on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly.  Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
