In profound sorrow, the Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service join with the Cox, Coley, Carter, Mitchell and Britt families to announce Mrs. Alice Faye Coley Britt, age 83, of Goldsboro, North Carolina passed on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Mrs. Alice Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Alexander Cox and Ms. Thelma Coley; her sisters, Ms. Joyce Coley and Ms. Carol Coley; her nephew, Mr. Michael Coley and her aunt, Mrs. Emma Uzzell.

A public visitation will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m., in Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551.    

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551.  Dr. Juanita Whitfield will officiate.

Entombment will follow the Celebration of Life Service in Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery, 2925 US Highway 117 - South, Dudley, North Carolina 28333.

Mrs. Alice Faye leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories to her daughters, Mrs. Martrina Britt Carter and husband, Mr. Thomas, of Goldsboro, North Carolina and Mrs. Keshia Mitchell and husband, Mr. Timothy of Atlanta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Timothy Jerome Brooks (TJ), Brittne Martrina Brooks, Levi Hamilton, IV (Quad), Timothy-Keith Mitchell (TK), Joshua Lleyton-Hewitt Mitchell and J’Lexus Carter; her seven, great-grandchildren; her niece; her nephew; a host of  loving cousins, loving family members and loving friends.
