Leona Ann Langley, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away on February 4, 2025, in Humble, Texas, at the age of 59. Born on March 23, 1965, in Houston, Texas, to Linda Jean (McDaniel) and Dan Stephen Northup, Leona's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds.
Leona's journey through life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family. She was a cherished wife to Tim Langley, with whom she shared an enduring love since 2001, culminating in marriage a few years later. Together, they created a blended family, a testament to their shared values of care and commitment. Leona was a loving mother to Amy Leann Carroll and a guiding light to her stepchildren, Kendra Moody and husband Jimmy, Blake Langley and his wife Heather Guajardo, and Teah Langley. She was also a proud grandmother to Joshua; and a doting step-grandmother to Michael, Molly, Emily, William, Lily, Johnny, Jeremiah, Walker, Knox, and Hillary; and to her great-granddaughter Krysta.
Though preceded in death by her parents, her son John Ross Carroll, and granddaughter Talina Carroll, Leona's legacy of love continues to live on through her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tim; her daughter, Amy; her stepchildren; her brothers, Dalton Ray Northup and his wife Glenda, and Bryan Steven Northup; her grandson, Joshua; and her numerous step-grandchildren.
Leona's life was characterized by her selfless nature and her capacity to bring joy to others. She was a woman who found beauty in the simple pleasures of life, such as the sparkle of bling and jewelry, the enjoyment of a good meal out with loved ones, and the thrill of riding motorcycles. Her enthusiasm for life was infectious, and she cherished every moment spent with her family, especially during family reunions where memories were made and laughter was shared.
A woman of great kindness, Leona was known for her loving heart and her ability to put others before herself. Her selflessness knew no bounds, and she touched the lives of many with her compassionate spirit. Her presence was a source of comfort and happiness to all who knew her.
