Hattie Lourine Tucker, 85, of Ridgely, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Signature Health in Ridgely, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, July 15, 1939, in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Coy Smothers and the late Ida Mae Davis Smothers.
Lourine was a devoted servant of God, a cherished family member, and beloved friend. She was a lifelong member of the River of Life Church of God of Prophecy, where her faith and dedication to ministry touched countless lives.
As a part-time minister for the Church of God of Prophecy, Mrs. Tucker shared the love of Christ with all who crossed her path. Her unwavering Christian values guided her every step, making her a true example of faith, kindness and compassion. She was a role model to her family, always providing love, wisdom and encouragement.
In her spare time, she enjoyed simple pleasures, including watching Wheel of Fortune and Duck Dynasty. But her greatest joy was always her family, whom she loved dearly and cherished beyond measure. Her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will be forever remembered by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
She was affectionately known as "Mama Rine" to her two grandchildren, Belinda Harris of Hornbeak, Tennessee and Glyn Tucker (Carrie) of Spartanburg, South Carolina; eleven great grandchildren, Attaya Lafayette, Isaiah Lafayette, Ethan Tucker, Madison Tucker, Alyssa Tucker, Daniel Tucker, Everly-Kate Tucker, Abigail Tucker, Caiden Tucker, Joshua Tucker and Issac Tucker and two great-great grandchildren, Ezra White and Silas White.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gayron Glyn Tucker, one brother, Charles Smothers and sister, Maybell Rickman.
