Marilyn Knapp, age 93, of Grand Rapids, went on January 30, 2025, to live with Jesus, her Savior. For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21.

She is survived by many cousins that truly loved her as a mother and many dear friends all over the world. After graduating from Calvin University and Wheaton College, Marilyn taught in Grand Rapids Public Schools, and Wheaton Grammar School, in Wheaton IL. later in life she was on staff at Mid-South Bible College in Memphis, TN. For 60 years she worked as a short-term volunteer in fifteen countries, giving support and encouragement to missionaries and native pastors. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Wesley Park United Methodist Church, 1150 32nd St. SW Wyoming, MI 49509. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:30 PM. Donations in Marilyn’s honor can be made to Wesley Park Mission Fund.
