Barbara Phyllis Hinsperger

Barbara Phyllis Hinsperger (nee Lett), born September 25, 1930 passed away peacefully at Groves Park Lodge in Renfrew, Ontario on February 19, 2018. She was the daughter of Charles and Alice (Leech) Lett and wife of the late Cyril Hinsperger. Barb is survived by her children, Chris (Val Chafe), Alex (Wendy Dalsin) and Barbara Lin (Ron Fox) and five grandchildren: Nicholas, Blaire, Dan, Dana and Adam, as well as her siblings: Irwin (Marilyn Middlesteadt), Beverley (Bryan Sterling), Betty (Doug Marsh) and Bonnie Diamond. She was predeceased by her brothers, Nelson (Margaret Cloutier) and Norman (Ivah Hunt). A school teacher by profession, Barb leaves a legacy of community work through involvement with the Renfrew County Public School Board where she served as member and as Chair, the Conservative Party, the Eastern Star, the Red Hatters and was also involved with many church activities. Barb always supported the youth in the community and is remembered by many for her encouragement of others. A true community leader and proud mother and grandmother, she will indeed be missed. Friends may call at the Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 7-9pm and on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. The funeral service will begin at 11am at St. John’s Anglican Church, Eganville on Thursday, March 1, 2018.
