With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Harold Brewer, who departed this life on January 30, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on January 29, 1950, Harold lived a life filled with love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to family and friends.

Harold Brewer was born to Oscar and Appie Brewer in Robeson County on January 29, 1950, he departed this life on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at his home in Rockingham, North Carolina.

Throughout his life, Papa had many accomplishments including: Salutatorian of his graduating class, Former member of the LREMC Board of Directors, Former President of the Hoke County Jaycees, Assistant Superintendent at the NC Department of Corrections, and a Deacon at Sweet Haven Church, just to name a few.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one Daughter: Tina Brewer Locklear, two grandchildren: Jonathan D. Locklear and Katelyn Brewer, and the Mother of his children: Anna Brewer.

Harold is survived by his wife Debbie, his siblings: Larry Brewer of Hope Mills, NC, Marilyn Brewer of Maxton, NC, Debbie Brewer (Harlie Jr) of Raeford, NC, Teresa Cooper of Red Springs, NC, Minnie Brewer of Red Springs, NC and Oscar Brewer Jr (Flora) of Red Springs. NC, Daughter:  Tammy Brewer (Landon) of Red Springs NC, Sons: Timothy Brewer of Mooresville, NC, Carl Simmons (Glenda) of  Rockingham, NC, Mickey Simmons (Chasity) of Rockingham, NC. Grandchildren: Ashley, Joseph, Jacob, Kallie, Jada, Jaxson, and Karoline. Great Grandchildren: Ja’Kyla, Jonathan Jr., Makenzie, and Erka who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

Papa touched many with his generosity, wisdom, and warm spirit. Whether through acts of kindness, words of encouragement, or a simple smile, he made the world a better place. He was a devoted husband, a loving parent, a cherished friend, and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
