Marilyn R. Pingley Obituary

Marilyn (Gannon) Pingley, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on June 12, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Robert Mack and Mary Johnston, Marilyn's life was a tapestry of joy, laughter, and unwavering kindness that touched the hearts of all who knew her. She drew her last breath in Newton Falls, Ohio, succumbing to complications related to kidney and heart disease.

Marilyn's journey through life was marked by the love she shared with her late husbands, Robert Gannon and Donnie Pingley, who preceded her in death. She was a cherished sister to her late brother, Paul Raymond Owens, and is survived by her devoted sister, Donna Collier. Marilyn was a source of unwavering support and affection to her daughters, Mary Stokes and Rebecca Felicetty, and her step-daughter, Jenny Paugh-Melton. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother to her four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and fulfillment to her life.

Those who knew Marilyn will remember her for the warmth and humor she brought into every room. Her laughter was infectious, her spirit was uplifting, and her capacity to love knew no bounds. Marilyn was the kind of person who would offer a helping hand without a second thought, and her generosity extended not only to her family and friends but to all creatures great and small. Her love for animals shone brightly through her cherished companionship with her faithful dog, Brownie, who was a constant source of comfort and joy.

Marilyn's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She possessed an artistic flair, which she expressed through her intricate crocheting, a skill that she both loved and shared generously with others. Her talents also shone in the world of cosmetology, where she brought beauty and confidence to countless individuals. A voracious reader, Marilyn found solace and excitement in the pages of Stephen King novels, each new story providing her with an escape into realms of mystery and imagination.

Throughout her life, Marilyn left an indelible mark on those around her. Her presence was a gift, her love a treasure, and her memory will be cherished forever. Her laughter will echo in the stories retold by her family, her kindness will be reflected in the countless lives she touched, and her legacy will live on through the love she instilled in her children and the beautiful works she crafted with her hands.

As we bid farewell to Marilyn, we celebrate the extraordinary life she led and the many ways she enriched our lives. She will be dearly missed, but the beauty of her spirit will continue to inspire us every day. Marilyn (Gannon) Pingley's life was a testament to the power of love, the joy of laughter, and the beauty of selflessness. Her journey on this earth may have ended, but her story will be told for generations to come.

Rest in peace, dear Marilyn. Your light will never fade.
