Carlos I. Pastora, a longtime resident of Rochester Hills, died early Sunday morning November 11, 2018. He was 78 years old. Carlos was born March 23, 1940 in Matagalpa, Nicaragua to parents Ana (nee Manzanarez) and Luis Pastora. Carlos married Marta Rodriguez January 29, 1972. Together, they shared 46 years. Carlos was a civil engineer who was a professor at the University of UNAH and the University of UNITEC in Honduras. Above all his accomplishments, his greatest love was his family who he always provided for. He will be deeply missed. Carlos is survived by his beloved wife, Marta Pastora, children, Ivan (Marta) Guerra, Manolo (Maria Eugenia) Guerra, Vilma (Ben) Monterosso, Ivan (Brina) Pastora, and Ana Sofia Pastora. He is also survived by his 11 precious grandchildren and brother, Denis (Amalia) Pastora. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1400 Inglewood Ave., Rochester, on Monday (November 19th) at 10am. Friends may visit at the church beginning at 9:30am. Burial will follow in Van Hoosen Jones Cemetery, Rochester Hills.
