Candace "Candy" Adele Mikulecky Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Candace “Candy” Adelle (Peterson) Mikulecky, age 74, of Elkhorn, WI, who left us peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025. She was born on September 14, 1950, in Melrose Park, IL, the daughter of the late Bernhard and Alice (Bauer) Peterson.

She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her boundless love and infectious spirit. She is survived by her husband, Richard Mikulecky, their three children, Sandy (Phil) Mazzio, Tim (Steph) Mikulecky, and Abbie (Eric) Milliman, and their six grandchildren, Lara, Nicole, and Phillip Mazzio, Timmy Mikulecky, and Ava and Harper Milliman. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernhard and Alice.

Candy was the life of every party, bringing joy and laughter to all who knew her. Her sweet soul and kind heart made her everyone's friend, and she had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved.

She had a passion for golf and spent many happy hours on the golf course, perfecting her swing and enjoying the camaraderie of those around her. Equally, she loved spending time on the lake. Whether it was boating, lounging by the water or watching her grandkids ski, every moment was filled with fun and relaxation.

Her family and friends were the center of her world, and she dedicated her life to making memories with them. Her legacy of love, laughter, and friendship will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Candy is survived by her loving family and a wide circle of friends who will miss her dearly. A celebration of her life will be held on a later date, where we will gather to honor her memory and share stories of the wonderful times we had together.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory. To access the tribute page, please click here. https://act.alz.org/site/TR/Events/Tributes-AlzheimersChampions?pg=fund&fr_id=1060&pxfid=937662

Rest in peace, dear Candy, Mom, and Nana. You will be forever missed and always remembered. We love you.
