Gladys M. Heelein, 86 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away surrounded by her family Monday, January 27, 2025, at Willowick Assisted Living in Clinton, WI.  She was born January 15, 1939, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, the daughter of the late Ervin and Lola (Hines) Fosberg.  Gladys was united in marriage to Frank Heelein on May 19, 1983, in Elkhorn, WI. She enjoyed gardening, canning and baking.  Gladys loved to attend the All Day Adult Day Care in Delavan, where she played bingo and made many crafts. She treasured the time with her grandchildren and attending their many activities.  Gladys was loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Gladys is survived by 11 children, Debra (Gary) Purdy, Donna (Allen) Ames, Butch Sonheim, Karen (Robert) Regnier, Nancy Linzmeier, Penny Sonheim, Dorothy (Brian) Linzmeier Ervin Sonheim, Gary Wood, Ken Haines, and Jerry (Sara) Sonheim, two stepchildren: Donald (Christine) Heelein, and Teresa Tortenson, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.  Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank Heelein, two brothers, Grant and Jerry Fosberg, sister, Joyce Poole, four grandsons, Edward Riddle, Caleb Linzmeier, Loki Linzmeier, and Josh Sonheim, and great-granddaughter, Brielle Riddle.

Funeral Service will be 12:00PM on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes, 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI.  Visitation will be from 10:00AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be direct to All Day Adult Day Care, N4901 Dam Rd. Delavan, WI 53115.  Online guest book available at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com. Overflow parking for the service can be found at Adam’s Electric at 801 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI; guests are invited to park there if needed and make the short walk to the funeral home.
