Thomas J. Krajewski, 77, Longtime Guilford Resident, Passes Away Peacefully

Thomas (Tom) J. Krajewski, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was 77 years old.

Tom was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on July 24, 1947, the son of the late Theodore and Beulah (Raleigh) Krajewski. He was one of seven children and grew up surrounded by a large, loving family. Tom was a proud graduate of Providence College (1969) and earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame in 1972.

A longtime resident of Guilford, Connecticut, Tom built a fulfilling career as the Director of Human Resources for several companies throughout the region including Olin, Winchester Repeating Arms, Milford Hospital, and Goodrich Corporation, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers.

Tom's most cherished role, however, was that of a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Joan Krajewski; his loving children, Karen (Barrett) of Quincy, Massachusetts, and Kevin (Audrey) of San Rafael, California; and his cherished grandchildren, Olivia and Vivian, also of San Rafael. Tom’s family was the center of his world, and he took great joy in spending time with them, whether at home or traveling.

A passionate sports fan, Tom was an avid supporter of the University of Notre Dame football team. He attended as many games as he could, and when he couldn’t be there in person, he could always be found in front of the TV, enthusiastically cheering on the Irish, often with a loud "Go Irish!" echoing through the house.

Tom had a love for the outdoors, especially the water. He enjoyed fishing and exploring the beautiful Connecticut coastline, finding peace and joy in nature. In addition to his love of the water and football, Tom was an enthusiastic traveler, particularly enjoying cruises and hosting memorable gatherings with family and friends.

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to The Hole in Wall Gang Camp (holeinthewallgang.org).

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered for his quick wit, warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for his family.
