Tamara Jo Brackeen, age 37, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at her home. She was born February 23, 1981, in Norco, California the daughter of Clifford and Winona (Lantz) Brackeen. Tamara loved being around others and had an appreciation for taking care of the elderly. She also had a knack for cooking, baking, and decorating. When Tamara was younger, she had an admiration for horses. She always liked to ride them and spent time with her father when he was out horseshoeing. Tamara is survived her son, Tony Reed; her partner Russell Arveson, along with her dog Blue; her mother, Winona Brackeen of Bella Vista, Arkansas; maternal grandparents Norvil and Joan Lantz of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two brothers, five sisters and plenty of nieces and nephews. Tamara was preceded into Eternal Glory by her son, Anthony, her father, SSG Clifford Brackeen, who was part of the Missouri Army National Guard and her paternal grandparents, Bob and Lila Brackeen. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Tamara may be made to TAPS.org (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at this website.
