Elsie Ruth Daly

BURLINGTON- Elsie Ruth Daly, 80 of Burlington died Saturday January 25, 2025, at the Burlington Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on September 12, 1944, in Rutland, the daughter of Schuyler H. and Irene (Harrington) Perkins.

She graduated from Rutland High School in 1962.

Elsie had been employed at UVM in the Department of Vehicle Registration department for 19 years prior to her retirement.

She loved playing bingo and Yahtzee and visiting with her neighbors.

Survivors include a daughter Tina Daly and her partner Cliff Bador of Worchester, a son Marc Daly and his wife Jo of Colchester, two grandchildren, Marcia Daly and her partner Russell Johnstone and Andrea Daly, a great grandchild Ryder Johnstone, two brothers Kemp Perkins of Oceanside, CA and Robert Perkins of Grand Isle, several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four sisters Pauline Perkins 2013, Joyce Vitagaliano in 1995, Constance “Connie” Hesse in 2008 and Jane P. Barnes in 2012, a brother Earl R. Perkins, Sr in 2019 and her fiancée Bruce McCluskey in 2019.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, February 3, 2025

at the Aldous Funeral Home, 44 North Main St., Rutland. Friends may call from 1PM until the time of the service.

Burial will be at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery.
