Betty K. LaPosa, age 72, of Winfield, IN, formerly of Schererville and Griffith, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Brigette (Adam) Deel; three adoring grandchildren: Elijah, Logan and Olivia Deel; sister, Wanda (Larry) Johanson, nephew, Brandon (Krista) Buck; great-niece, Audrey Buck; and her many dear friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents: LeRoy and Theresa Buck; siblings; Lil Cromer, Patricia Buck and Daniel Buck.

Betty was raised in Griffith, IN where she was a graduate of Griffith High School Class of 1970. She worked for over 30 years for Jewel Food Store at the Customer Service Desk and as the Scan Coordinator. After early retirement, she was able to spend time with her friends and family, but her main focus was her three grandchildren who affectionately called her "Gigi". She loved playing board games and card games with them, her favorites being 'Spoons' and 'Skip-Bo'.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Celebration of Betty's Life at 6:00 PM with Pastor Foster Toft officiating.
