Zella “Ann” Branson of Robards, Kentucky, passed away January 22, 2025, at her home. 

Ann was born in Cave-in-Rock, Illinois September 12, 1947, to the late Otto and Agatha (Bugg) Chaney. 

Ann is survived by her husband of 50 years John C. Branson, one son, Keith Allen (Crystal), two daughters, Jenny Lynn Branson (Todd) and Penny Ann Buzzella (Tony), one grandson, Steel Branson (Jasmine), two granddaughters, Lauren and Jenna Buzzella and one great granddaughter, Dakota Branson.

In addition to her parents Ann was preceded in death by one daughter, Charleena Rena Branson, three brothers, David Allen, Edward and John Marion Chaney and one sister, Stella Marie Knight.

Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. Ann enjoyed working in her flowers and taking care of her cats. She enjoyed trips anywhere where there was a beach! Ann always supported her children in all of their hobbies, travels, and musical adventures. If her kids were involved, she was there! When Ann was promoted to “Mamaw,” she was the best! She was always ready and prepared with snacks, snuggles, and tickles!

Visitation will be Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 2-5 pm and Monday, January 27 from 11 am until service time at 2 pm. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Tomblinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Marsha’s Place, New Hope Animal Rescue, or a church or charitable organization of one’s choice.
