Brandi Nicole Purvis, 35, of Pine Mountain passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at her residence.

Brandi was born on September 5, 1989 in Marianna, Florida, the daughter of Angela Gilmore and James Douglas. She was a graduate of Cottondale High School in the class of 2008. She was employed with Winn-Dixie and attended college until her health began to decline. Brandi was a loving and kind person, and never met a stranger. She loved the beach and riding dirt roads. Her daughter was the light of her world and she treasured the time they spent together. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Dorothy Douglas and Linda Osborne, and a sister, Candice Douglas

She is survived by her daughter, Ember Jarvis; mother, Angela Gilmore of Georgetown, GA; father, James Douglas of Alford, FL; brother, Sean Douglas and nephew Lane Douglas both of Cambridge, OH; Jack Porter of Pine Mountain, GA, who was a father-figure to her; longtime companion, Eric Jarvis of Pine Mountain, GA; special neighbor friend, Bernice; and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held in Florida, with the date, time and place to be announced later.
