John A. Licht Jr., age 84, of North Tonawanda, went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2018. John was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran and served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Marine Corp League. He had worked for Columbus McKinnon for 34 years and had retired from General Motors, Town of Tonawanda. He was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church. He was the son of the late John H. Licht and Allene (Metzloff) Licht. He was the husband of the late Cora Mae (nee Salverson) Licht. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Trichler-Truesdell) Licht. Dear father of Doris (James) Waliszewski, James (late Carolina) Licht, John (Ruth) Licht and Ralph (Pamela) Licht. Grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Brother of Christian Licht, Gail Reischel and the late Doris Abbs and Donald Licht Sr., uncle of several nieces and nephews. No prior visitation, family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday, November 18th at 3:00 P.M. from St. John Lutheran Church, 6950 Ward Rd., in the Town of Wheatfield.
