Terrence E. Ahearn

Terrence E. “Terry” Ahearn age 87, a long time resident of Naperville, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Naperville. He was born September 23, 1931 in Chicago. Terry worked in electrical construction and was a member of the Electrical Estimators Assoc. the Power Engineering Society and the I,E.E. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1956 during the Korean War and was an active member of both the Judd Kendall V. F. W. Post #3873 and the Naperville American Legion. He was a past president of the Naperville Sportsman’s Club, a member of the Moose Lodge, the Rod and Gun Club and was a post unit leader of the Naperville Fire and Resque Squad. He is survived by his children Bridget Erickson, Kathleen (Steve) Prucher and John (Kathy) Ahearn; grandchildren Amber Stevens, Rob (Katie) and Jim Erickson and Tracy and Jake Ahearn and Patrick Ahearn; great grandchildren, Camron, Bri and Emma Erickson; siblings Peg Tyska and Robert (Laurel) Ahearn. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Betty Ahearn, a son Terrence Ahearn, his parents John and Lillian Ahearn, and sister Rita (Jim) Rea. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, 10:30 a.m. at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes and Crematory, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville. to Ss. Peter & Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St. Naperville for a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Naperville Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
