John David Finley
John David “Jack” Finley, of Rolla, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the age of 85. He was born in Rolla to the late Adrian L. Finley and Martha (Johnson) Finley. On December 31, 1976, he married Loretta (Phelps) Karr, who survives. Mr. Finley was a U.S. Naval Veteran. He served as the former publisher of Tri-County Publications in Belle, MO., where he also served as the town’s former Mayor. Prior to retirement, he worked as the Greens Keeper for the Oak Meadow Country Club in Rolla. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Forrest and Don Finley, and one grandson, Austin Kelly Finley. He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes his wife, Loretta Finley, of Rolla; five children, Renee Elrod, of Rolla, Lady B. Finley, of Republic, MO, John Kelly Finley, of Belle, MO, Stacey Karr, of Rolla, and Jacque Moreland, of Belle; four grandchildren, Adrien Helmig, Brendan Moreland, Megan Finley, and Stacey Karr Jr.; two great grandchildren, Johanna and Drake Helmig; two sisters, Ann Peterson, of Rolla, and Jane Honey, of Fayetteville, WV; nieces, nephews, other extended family members and dear friends. A memorial service celebrating the life of Jack Finley will be held at a later date.February 21, 1933 - November 11, 201802/21/193311/11/2018
