Douglas Warren Anderson, January 28, 2017. Age 94. Died peacefully with family at his side following a brief illness.Preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruby. He is survived by his younger brother Sherman, daughter Deborah (Daniel), and son Bryan (Sue), granddaughter Dana (Greg) and great grandson Joseph. Douglas was born in Minneapolis, served as a bomber pilot during WWII, married his childhood girlfriend after the war, was an active and vital member of the Faith Covenant Church of Detroit and worked as a chemical engineer for the same pharmaceutical company for his entire career. A memorial service will be held at Presbyterian Home Chapel, 3131 Simpson St (Golf Rd) Evanston IL at 2:30 on Friday Feb 3 and interment will Feb 5 at Winnetka Covenant Church.
