Mary E. Andrews Obituary

In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Andrews

Mary Elizabeth Andrews of Oakland Township was called to her Lord on January 9, 2025, surrounded by the love and care of her devoted daughters, Lauryn and Marissa Andrews.

Born on July 13, 1957, in Detroit, Elizabeth was the second child of the late William J. Andrews and Loyola "Bibbs" Krausmann Andrews. She was raised in a lively household in Beverly Hills, Michigan, as one of five siblings.

Elizabeth graduated from Birmingham Groves High School in 1975 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University.

A true lover of nature, Elizabeth found peace and joy in the outdoors. Whether hiking, bicycling, or tending to her exquisite gardens, she embraced the beauty of the natural world with an open heart. Her deep affection for animals was evident in the countless pets that became beloved members of her family throughout the years.

Elizabeth’s greatest joy came from her role as a mother. She cherished every moment spent with her daughters, from cooking treasured family recipes to hosting gatherings filled with laughter and love. Together, they created countless memories on unforgettable family getaways.

Her generosity knew no bounds. Elizabeth freely gave her time, talents and heart to lift those around her. Her vibrant sense of humor, infectious laughter and radiant smile brightened the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. A woman of deep faith, Elizabeth embraced each day with gratitude for life’s blessings. Her unwavering love for God guided her actions and inspired those around her.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving children, Lauryn and Marissa; her siblings, Lee Andrews, Michael (Lori Friesner) Andrews, Kathleen (Thomas) Keating, and Paul (Nancy) Andrews; her nieces and nephews, Olivia and Julia Andrews, and Andrew and Ryan Keating; her special aunt Marilyn Berry and many dear cousins.

Elizabeth’s legacy of compassion, faith and joy will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered as a beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend
