Charlene Marie Brage, age 89, passed away January 16, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church (512 South Elm Avenue, Owatonna, MN). Friends may greet the family at church prior to funeral services from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.  A Parish Rosary will be recited at 9:15 a.m.  Burial will follow the funeral at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Charlene was born to parents Charles and Margaret Headline in Faribault, MN. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy and married Clarence Brage on July 2, 1955, in Northfield, MN. They later settled in Owatonna where they raised their three children.

Charlene worked for Jostens before becoming the County Clerk at the Steele County Courthouse. In retirement, she and Clarence enjoyed their winter getaways to Winter Haven, Florida.

She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a loyal member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, as well as a member and Past Madam President and Trustee of the Eagles Auxiliary.

Charlene is survived by and will be dearly missed by her children: Tom (Kathy) Brage of Owatonna, Mike (Donna) Brage of Prior Lake, MN; daughter-in-law Deb Eckers; grandchildren Erin, Alyssa, Nathan (Molly), Vanessa (Dean), Tyler and Alex; great-grandchildren Wyatt, Tayte, Rowan, Sylvie and Beau; sister-in-law Kathy Headline, sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Wayne Schuessler; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, son Bob, parents Charles and Margaret, brothers Leonard and Jim, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
