Mrs. Oma Jean Wardlow Cox, 82, the widow of Alfred Eugene Cox, passed away Friday evening, October 19, 2018 at Baptist Health-Richmond.
Mrs. Cox was born on August 27, 1936 in Garrard County, the daughter of the late Ivan Wardlow and Isabelle Tankersly Wardlow Clark. She was the retired co-owner and operator of Red House Grocery and Farm Supply.
Survivors include a daughter: Tammy Long (Tony); two grandchildren: Ryan Long (Jennifer) and Brayden Long; one great-grandchild: Ryleigh Peyton Long; one sister: Susie Wardlow; three nieces: Wanda Clem, Reda Rozanski (Kevin) and Connie Denton (Charles); one nephew: Eugene Bryant; several great nieces and nephews including Amber and Earl Smith.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Marjorie Wardlow Saylor.
Funeral Services will be private. Interment will be at Madison Memorial Gardens.
