Billy Ewing “Billy Boy” Farthing, 64, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 21, 2018 at his home.
Billy was born on January 24, 1954 in Madison County. He was a retired employee of The Madison County Board of Education and The City of Richmond. He was of the Holiness Faith.
He is survived by his wife Ella Lee Cates Farthing; one son: Gregory Lee Farthing (Brittany Adams); his mother: Mima Jean Farthing; one brother: Paul “Sandy” Farthing (Paula); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: Billy Sandlin Farthing and two brothers: Troy and Thomas Farthing.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Josh Farthing, Paul Farthing Jr., Nick Gooch, Calvin Gooch, Josh Baker and Christopher Floyd Cates.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Wendell Baker, Paul “Sandy” Farthing, Eugene Noland, Clayton Bond and James Clark.
The family would like to thank Hospice Care Plus, The Madison County EMS, Caretenders /MD2U and his special caregiver: Brittany Adams, for all acts of kindness shown, during the illness of our loved one.
