Joan C. Ditty, 82, of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Neilson Place in Bemidji, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 17, 2025 at Evangelical Free Church in Bemidji.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday.  Interment will be in the spring at Maple Hill Cemetery in Clearbrook, MN.

Joan was born February 9, 1942 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Walter A. and Bernice M. (Lowing) Wilson. She worked as a lab secretary for North County Regional Hospital, both old and new facility and later for Sanford. She was always active at her church, Evangelical Free. She loved volunteering at the 7th Day Adventist clothing depot which was in her back yard and a driver at Northwoods Caregivers. She was an avid dog lover.

She is survived by her children, Jeanette Wiegel of Vallejo, CA, Robin Eggert of Gonvick, MN, and Audrey (Bruce) Emmel of Leonard, MN, grandsons, Charles Lowe of Springfield, OR and Joshua (Kari) Emmel of Salol, MN, and granddaughter, Joanna (Victor) Ordonez of Austin, MN, and 9 great grandchildren, Samara, Elaina, Emmet, Axel, Elizabeth, Elsie, Jack, Eva, and Micah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Joyce Lexow, brother-in-law, Howard Lexow, first husband David Wiegel and second husband Vern Ditty.
