Maria de Nazare Paiva Candeias, 85, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. She was born in Meruge, Oliveira do Hospital, Portugal and emigrated to the US in the late 1970’s and was residing in Union, NJ.
Daughter of the late Alexandrina de Nazare Paiva; Wife of the late Jose Francisco Estanqueira Candeias; devoted and loving mother of Anabela Alves and her husband Mario; loving grandmother of Jennifer Ramalho and Jeffrey Alves; cherished great grandmother of Sofia Ramalho, Gabriel Ramalho and Ella Alves
The Funeral for Maria, a Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 9:30 Our Lady of Fatima Church, Newark, Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North, Arlington, NJ.
