Lois Comer Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Hinesley Comer, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, at the age of 87.  She went home to be with our Lord on January 11, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Lois was born on June 26, 1937, in Moore County, NC to Josie and Willie “Ted” Hinesley.  She lived a full life, filled with love, laughter and kindness. As a mother, she was the heart of our family.  Her children were her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in them.

As a grandmother and great grandmother, Lois was a constant source of affection and guidance.  Her grandchildren and great grandchildren cherished the time they spent with her; her legacy of love and strength will live on through them.

She was a woman of deep faith; she enjoyed her church family.  She loved to go on cruises with her family and friends every chance she got.  She will be remembered for her kindness, and enduring spirit.

Lois may no longer be with us here on earth, but her memory and the love she gave will forever be in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Comer, her parents, her grandson, Wayne David Comer, Jr., her siblings, Dot Thompson, Betty Boyd, Peggy Faulkner, Maxine Rogers, Ruby Davis, Ralph, Billy Ray, Jerry and Junior Hinesley.

She is survived by her beloved dog, Alphie, her children, Jeanette Parker (Tim, deceased), New Hill, NC , Wayne Comer (Lisa) Sanford, NC , Cathy Carter (David) Southern Pines, NC, Michelle West (Tim) Vass, NC;  grandchildren, Danyelle Martin (Tommy), Jill Chubet (Jason), Jonathan Comer, Jessica Smith (Kevin), Patrick Marion (Christina), Mishele Hare (Joel), Tyler West (Megan), Eric West (Olivia), Heather Parker, Nick Parker (Megan);  great grandchildren, Callen & Cobe Martin, Rowan & Hattie Smith, Brooke, Bella, Wyatt & Carson Marion, Lizzie & Maddie Hare, Gavin Comer, Charlie, Sonya & Wilder West, Landon & Brody West, Kennedy Thomas and Bennett & Cameron Parker; siblings, Dale Howell, Suzine Dodd (Bobby), Carolyn Lazzaro (Joe) and Linda Brown and her dearest friend Wilma Johnson.
