Kathryn Ruth Simonds (Frothingham) a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother was the matriarch of the family. Kathy worked for Giant Food for 36 years before retiring to spend time with her husband and family. Kathy loved to travel up to New England to visit her extended family. Kathy and Billy started volunteering for Meals on Wheels as soon as they retired, they also joined the Silver Sneakers program of Montgomery County where they made many new friendships.

Kathy has four children, Christopher, Jeffrey (Kelley), Julie (Douglas) and stepson William (Jacey). Kathy was proceeded in death by her best friend Marge, they had been friends for over 40+ years, she considered Marge's children to be hers also, John, Jeffrey and Michelle (Jeffrey)

Kathy has several grandchildren, Bryan, Anthony, Krystal, Alyssa, Tyler, Joshua, Jennifer, Garrett, Timothy, Aiden and Colin

Great grandchildren, Julianna, Noah, Isabella, Leia, Kayla, Avery, Maya, Kenzi, Elijah and Aria

Besides her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kathy leaves behind two brothers and many nieces and nephews.

Kathy has joined her parents, an older brother and younger sister in heaven.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Meals on Wheels.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date in both Maryland and Massachusetts.
