Donald Trent was born February 17, 1933, and passed December 13, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Willa Trent of 70 years of marriage. He is also survived by his three children Ron Trent, Renee Green and Staci Fraser. In addition, he has six grandchildren; Chris, Brian, Greg & Doug Trent, Brooke Green and Tyler Pressley, and Five great grandchildren, Audrey, Olivia, Nicole, and Alex Trent and Rylee Metzler.

Donald served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1954. Upon receiving an honorable discharge, Donald acquired his teaching credentials and master’s degree in business from Sacramento State. Donald started teaching at Encina High School in 1960. He later moved to San Juan High School, then to Mesa Verde High School. After working as teacher and coaching for 28 years he retired.

In 1986, Donald opened his bookstores called Trent’s Bookworm, which he built into six stores. They have one store remaining that daughter Renee Green now runs.
