Ronald Jewel Chambers passed away in Hospice of Northwest Ohio- Toledo at the age of 71. He was born April 9, 1953 in Salt Lake City, UT before moving to Toledo with his family.
After high School, Ron entered the U.S. Marines serving for five years during the Vietnam War. He was stationed at Camp Lejune and the New River Air Station with his wife and son for a long time.
Ron worked for various construction firms before retiring. He was very disciplined; he had no doubt gotten from his time served in the military. He was very conscientious of his appearance, and he had workout regiment that he incorporated into his life well into his 60’s.
Ron is preceded in death by his wife Dee Dee Chambers; mother Lucille (Benicaso) Poindexter; stepfather John Poindexter; children Tiffany Chambers and Dorian Chambers; brothers Richard Kisten, James Chambers and Derrick Chambers; step brother Gary Poindexter.
He survived by his children Ronald (Smokey) Chambers, II; Joella and Justina Atwell and George Boytkin; brothers Jerry (Betty) Poindexter; step sisters Pamala Harris and Sherrie Richards; sister-in-law Elizabeth Chambers and ex-wife Rosalind Chambers.
His family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home Friday after 11 AM followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12 Noon with U.S. Marine Funeral Honors.
