Rita M. Morin-Gendron, 102, formerly of Coventry passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 at the South County Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard A. Morin and the late Robert N. Gendron. She was born in West Warwick on November 2, 1922, a daughter of the late Willie J. and Yvonne S. (Duhaime) Regnaiere. Rita was a sewing machine operator at Natco Products Company in West Warwick for over twenty years before retiring in 1976. She was a past president of the Ladies of Saint Anne Sodality of St. John and James Church in West Warwick, a member of the Coventry Golden Agers, and a member of the West Warwick A.A.R.P. Chapter # 2210. Rita was an avid card player and enjoyed knitting. She leaves a son, Norbert L. Morin and his wife, Kathy of Richmond, R.I.; two stepsons, Steven Gendron and his wife, Betty of New Mexico and Thomas Gendron and his wife, Cindy of New Hampshire; a daughter-in-law, Paulette Morin of Maine and seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Roger W. Morin. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 9 10 am in the Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home, 45 Curson Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington Street, Coventry. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Warwick. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
