Kenny’s brother Greg (Marsha) Gierlack, stood by him through thick and thin, and their bond was a testament to the strength of family.
He is survived by nieces Kimberly (Kyle) Davis, nephew Brian Gierlack, and Greatnieces Sadie, Alexis, Leah and Alyssa. Kenny had a special bond with Marsha, Greg’s wife, like a sister that he never had.

For 38 years Kenny was employed at the former Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, Michigan where his personable nature was well-known and appreciated. His role allowed him to cross paths with two Presidents, numerous athletes, celebrated singers and other notable guests that stayed at the hotel.
In his younger years Kenny was an avid camper who relished trips to northern Michigan, embracing the serenity and beauty of the great outdoors. Concerts were a favorite pastime, as they allowed him to immerse himself in the music he loved so deeply. He was also a devoted dog lover, always a source of joy to him. Kenny’s good sense of humor was well known to his family, friends and all he met. He never missed an opportunity to kid with people and tell a quick joke or two. He was also a long time University of Michigan and Detroit Lions football fan. He always made it a point to watch both teams on TV.
