Dennis Lowell Gray Obituary

Dennis Lowell Gray, 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his daughter by his side. He was born in Jefferson, Iowa, grew up in Richfield, Minnesota, graduating from Richfield High School in 1970, and lived a life full of adventure and travel.


Dennis was a creative and talented soul, known for playing the piano by ear and carving beautiful ice sculptures. His fun-loving personality brought joy to everyone around him.


Always seeking new experiences, Dennis had a diverse career. He attended college in Mexico, graduated from Cornell University’s General Manager’s Program, and managed hotels in Clearwater, Florida, Park City, Utah, and other places. One of his most memorable jobs was managing the Royal Palace of King Hussein in Jordan, where he met his ex-wife, Billie Micaller. Together, they built a life and had several business ventures in Indiana, Nebraska, Utah, and the Philippines.


Dennis is survived by his daughter, Kendra Ashley Gray (Philip Montminy); grandchildren, Jade Asha and Kaia Bella Montminy; sister, Marti (Larry) Holgerson; nephew, Alex Holgerson; and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Caroll and Lowell Gray.


Dennis will be deeply missed. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Per his wishes, there will be no formal service. The family appreciates all the love and support during this time. Donations can be made to your local Rescue Mission in his memory.
