Helene L. Suiter, 81, of Columbus, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, with her loving family by her side.

Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Helene spent her early years in New Brunswick and North Brunswick before settling in Columbus in 1991. A proud parishioner of St. Mary Church in Bordentown, New Jersey, Helene was a woman of deep faith who treasured the bonds of her church community.

Known for her vivacious personality and independent spirit, Helene was often described as “set in her ways.” She was passionate about traveling, particularly enjoying cruises with her beloved husband, Albert, creating memories that she cherished throughout her life.

Helene was also deeply committed to giving back. She was a generous and charitable person, and for many years, she made regular donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, reflecting her desire to help those in need.

For ten years, Helene worked as the Deputy Court Administrator for Springfield Township Municipal Court, where she earned the respect of her colleagues and community. Above all, she will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family. A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Helene was the heart of her family, and her legacy of kindness, faith, and strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

She was the daughter of the late James E. and Mary E. Segal and was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Livingston. In addition to her husband, Albert Suiter, she is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Suiter (Frank Giannotto) and Christie L. Simmons (Matthew J. Simmons IV), her beloved grandson, Matthew J. Simmons V, her brother, James F. Segal Jr. (Nancy Segal), and many extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.

A Funeral Service celebrating Helene’s life will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. Calling hours will be held Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
