Dennis James Splude Sr 68, passed away peacefully in his home on Dec 6th 2024. Dennis was born on May 27, 1956, in Portland, ME to James Lambert Splude Sr and Jane Connell. Dennis was the first of 8 children. Dennis attended Portland schools and has been employed by Sawyer Industrial service, Allwaste and Barber foods. Dennis met Janet Thompson when he was 19 they were married for 16 years and had 3 children.

Dennis enjoyed the outdoors and frequented the Allagash where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed playing cribbage with friends and family.

Dennis is survived by his companion of many years Sheryl Wallace of Portland, ME, ex-wife Janet Thompson of Gorham, 2 sons Dennis Splude Jr of Steep Falls Maine, Derrick Splude of Portland, ME, and, daughter Jessica Splude of Gorham, ME and estranged daughters Jennifer Rhines and Dorothy, 3 step daughters Melissa Bowden of Windham ME, Krystine Smith of Gorham ME, and Heather Letellier Rumford, ME, his brother, James Lambert Splude Jr and sisters Cindy Cox, Kathleen Simpson and Michelle Splude, his grandchildren Jordan Splude, Alyssia Manchester and Jake Manchester and many more.

He is predeceased by his son Baby James Thompson his mother Jane Connell, his father James lambert Splude Sr, his brothers Richard Splude, and Jeffery Splude, his sister Janie Splude and ex-companion Stacy Bowden.
