George E. Pike Obituary

George Pike, 78, of Raynham, MA, peacefully passed away at home on December 13th. Born in February of 1946 in Worcester, MA, George was a loving husband, father,

brother-in-law, uncle, brother and friend. George was a remarkable man whose life was filled with love, family, courage and humor .

Over the past 19 years, George has battled Amyloidosis, a disease that profoundly impacted not only his life but also the lives of his loved ones, particularly his son Tom.

George fought bravely and participated in six clinical trials which became the cornerstone of the current treatment protocol for Amyloidosis and the first FDA

approved treatment.

George was a proud member of the US Navy and served with distinction from 1965 to 1969 and was on the USS Becuna and USS Pargo.

Organization was critical to George. Whether his workshop or documents or anything in between, everything was properly coded and placed. Even his children’s first names all started with a T and both his wife's names began with J.

George was welcomed into Heaven by many beloved family and friends who had predeceased him; including his parents, Louise (Boulette) and Clifford Pike; his older

brother Steve, his beautiful niece Louise (Pike) Wilcox; his in-laws, Leo and Helen Tolland and too many others to mention.

George’s legacy includes a blended family filled with love. His strength and resilience inspired those around him, and he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

George is survived by his wife, Jayne (Tolland) and their son, Thomas and his wife Jaime (Cahoon); his first wife, Judy (Papa) and their children Timothy and his wife Lena; Tammy and her husband Sean McManaway; grandsons Devin and Shea McManaway; granddaughters Nicole Parish, Katelyn, Kirstin and Ulyana Pike as well as four great

grandchildren.

A special thank you to Beacon Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care of both George and Jayne.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 4th at Kane Funeral Home in Easton, MA from 2pm to 5pm. Internment at Bourne National Cemetery will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity close to George’s heart for WISE at 38 Bank Street, Lebanon NH 03766.
