Harol-dene Jr Koos (Musser) (she preferred to be called Jr) was born in 1948 in Berea Ohio and she entered her eternal home Friday December 13, 2024, in Montgomery Alabama surrounded by her beloved family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Elma (Reasner) Musser; husband Laszlo A Koos Sr.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice (Woodrow) Street; Pamella (Edmund) Skwarlo, and Marilyn (Donald) Welker; infant brother Harold Musser; and her nephew Clint Patterson.
She leaves behind her son Laszlo A Koos Jr. and his children Annabell Koos and Laszlo A Koos III of Marshall Wisconsin; daughter Julia R Cordio and husband Frank and their son Angelo G Cordio of Honoraville Alabama; brother Rev. Melvin Musser and wife PJ of West Milton Ohio. Jr also leaves behind many Nieces and Nephews and other family members whom she adored as well as so many friends that loved her dearly.
Jr graduated Cleveland Clinic Radiology school in 1969 and worked as a Radiology technician until her retirement in 2009. She brought joy to many peoples lives when her and husband Laszlo turned their hobby into a delicious candy store “Chocolate-cut-up by Koos”. She was a lifelong Christian and loved the Lord beyond measure. She never had an ounce of question on where she would end up on her redemption day. She said “I’m ready to meet my Lord and Savior” and that she did. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Pittsburg Ohio. Although she was miles away, she enjoyed watching her brother’s message virtually many Sundays.
For many years Jr wore the nickname “Candy Lady” while she operated her chocolate shop. Upon closure of the store she very soon became known as “The Giraffe Lady”. Jr had a wonderful dream one night that she was lifted on the head of a Giraffe so she could get closer to God and her loving obsession with Giraffes began. Jr never met a stranger. When she went places we always found her chatting up a new friend and although tiny, her laughter was recognized from afar and could fill a room in no time.
Jr was so proud of her brother Mel becoming a Pastor; she told everyone she spoke to about him. She loved her children immensely. She always said her son Laszlo would grow up to be a fixer of things because he was always taking things apart to see how they worked, and she was over the moon when he became a Master Mechanic. Her daughter Julia was the apple of her eye. She was so happy to see the wonderful mother she became (We credit a lot Julia’s loving personality and generous nature to her loving mother)
A private memorial service will be held for her friends and John Knox Family. The date is to be determined but will be very soon. A Celebration of Life will be held over the 4th of July at Trinity Church in Ohio with a Party to follow. Mom was never dull in what she wore so NO BLACK. Dress in your brightest, funniest outfits (Preferably giraffe related) to Celebrate the incredible and funny woman she was. Every time you see a giraffe picture Jr riding tall.
