Edward Manley White Obituary

Edward White, born on December 27, 1935, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Emily and Cyril White, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, who passed away at a tender age.

Edward attended Georgia College in Kingston, Jamaica, where he developed a foundation for his future career. In the 1960s, he migrated to the United States, settling in Long Island, New York. There, he worked as a civil engineer for the Otis Elevator Company, contributing his skills and expertise to building a better world.

In the late 1980s, Edward moved to Florida, where he worked for the City of Miramar until his well-deserved retirement. He was a dedicated worker, a respected colleague, and a cherished member of his community.

Edward was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife, Clarice White; his daughter, Wendy White Dunnigan; and two granddaughters, Zoey and Kingston that he cherished. He also leaves behind his stepsons and grandchildren, whom he embraced and loved as his own after marrying Clarice.

Edward was a man of warmth, humor, and compassion. Known for his infectious laughter and joyful spirit, he brought light into the lives of everyone he met. There was never a dull moment in his presence, and his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew him.

He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
