Brian Joseph McGauran, 70, of St. Pete Beach, passed peacefully Friday, December 13th, 2024. Born in The Bronx, NY, to parents Anne Frain of Mayo, Ireland and Owen McGauran of Cavan, Ireland. He grew up with his 6 older siblings: Nancy, Phillip, Kathleen, Eugene, Helen, and John, as well as his twin brother Brendan. Education: PS 80 Kindergarten, St. Anne’s School in NY 1st-8th grade, Cardinal Hayes Highschool 9th grade, Dewitt Clinton Highschool 10th grade, Boca Ciega Highschool 11th and 12th grade (graduated from), SPJC A.A. and A.S. and USF B.A. in Sociology, B.S. in Management Information Systems Military: US Army and Airforce from 1981- 2004 as electronic fire control, tech control, ground mobile control, wideband satellite system, and U.S. Army Airborne. Employment: HRS, Booze Allen Hamilton, British Aerospace, SAIC, HealthPlan Services, CITI Bank, Valley Bank He loved his family and friends, dogs, reading, Jeopardy, The New York Yankees, USF Bulls football and traveling around with his wife, especially on his motorcycles. Survivors include beloved wife of 42 years, Becky McGauran, St. Pete Beach, FL, two daughters, Shannon (Michael) Moore, Largo, FL and Casey (Joe) Neilsen, Largo, FL, two grandchildren Wyatt Moore and Dane Neilsen, two sisters, Nancy Cass, Seminole, FL, Helen Lydon Palmetto, FL, his twin brother Brendan McGauran, Indian Shores Beach, FL and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Services at Brett Funeral home Saturday, January 4th, 2025, from 10am-12 followed by burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
